HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Happy Thanksgiving from my home to yours

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! My list this year runs entirely too deep to cover it completely but among the most special things I'm grateful for are first and foremost my Savior Jesus Christ's blessings and favor on my life, my husband and precious little furchild, incredible parents and siblings, great health, blossoming career, and last but absolutely not least my residency in the magical land of Hawaii. Contentment and gratefulness is on my heart and I couldn't be more thankful for the endless blessings in my life at the moment.
I would like to express my greatest THANK YOU to everyone who has read or is reading this blog! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for checking in with MALLIE+POSH. I've had so many readers touch my heart this year,  you certainly are a part of the many things I am thankful for today! I hope your day is special and bright. Sending sunshine and love-

Aloha

THANKSGIVING PLACE CARDS

When it comes to Thanksgiving, I always fall for the natural organic decor. Using natural elements only adds to the character of the holiday. For me, living in one of the most beautiful places on earth makes me constantly grateful for the incredible creation I'm surrounded by. I'm always down for brining the outdoors in and these chic little place card holders are the perfect example of that. Try getting outdoors in your own yard to find some beauties for your table! Happy hunting...

THANKSGIVING TABLE IDEAS

So simple and so easy, so pretty. Try a white or yellow candle surround by dried corn in a plain hurricane or jar.

Decorating the table is about focal points, just like a room. By using one object en mass it creates a statement. Try fall fruits such as pears, apples, or oranges in a hurricane for a instant eye catching piece.

Branch out from the typical Thanksgiving color palette and dress your table in earthy tones of brown and greens. A rich chocolate table cloth anchors the visual display. Try small vases filled with fresh greenery and tall green tapers for a soft glow.

For a traditional look with a twist arrange a line of miniature pumpkins in the center of the table and weave double-faced ribbon around them. Top with a bittersweet stem for a blaze of color.

Happy Thanksgiving week!
Aloha

THANKSGIVING: NAPKINS & THINGS

Eating outdoors? Here's the perfect touch for keeping your tablecloth in place. Try some mini gourds for your Turkey Day table weights!

Grab your coat and go get some fresh air.. almost all you need for this look is a stroll around the block! Take a walk and collect acorns to make these fab fall napkin rings. For each ring, drill tiny holes through the sides of nine or ten acorns. Wire the acorns together, alternating the acorns top-to-bottom so they nestle together tightly and, va la! There you have a natural and warm welcome piece for your table.

Here's your hook-up for an inexpensive and chic vase fall filler! Dried beans are almost always readily available in bulk at low cost. Fill a hurricane with beans up to 2-3 inches then add a branch of yellow berries for a glow on your table.

Indian corn garland. Perfect for fall, perfect for indoors or outdoors. Try it!

Rich in color and interest- try this look. Arrange four gourds and six large chrysanthemum blossoms symmetrically in a flat bowl or tray for an eye catching contemporary centerpiece.

How is your house coming?! Is it ready for the holidays? Stick around for lots of ideas on Thanksgiving/Christmas decor coming up right here on M+P. Love to all..

Aloha!

Thanksgiving Tablescapes, Make It Your Own

Turkey worthy tables

The only thing prettier than the faces around the thanksgiving table are the decorations on the thanksgiving table. Holidays are a time to enjoy time spent together and the feeling of closeness and family. Creating the perfect space for that to take place is such an important thing. By providing a beautiful, cozy, and inviting environment it allows for this time together to be that much more memorable. Think about the things that are special to your family whether it's certain smells (candles).. music.. tableware (grandmother's china).. whatever it is use those things as a starting point to go off of and be true to your taste! Use the colors that you love and relate to your family around the holidays. Make a table that shows memories and trademarks that are specific to your family. Let this thanksgiving be a time for heartfelt glamorous design and celebration of wonderful times together.

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours
Blessings and Love
