LIGHT & BRIGHT

This crisp room fits right in with the tone of this fresh Monday morning. There's something so appealing about the minimalistic approach of this space. In it's sparseness is also organization and cleanliness. Simple, but still inviting, this living room is light, bright and just right for setting the mood of inspiration for my day. There is beauty in the basics and this space allows proof of that. Hope your Monday is filled with fresh and fabulous inspiration!

WELL LIT

Jonathan Adler Meurice Chandelier

Another chandelier strikes my heart strings. Jonathan Adler gets me every time with his lighting creations.  Like every other 'well lit' post I want to emphasize how important lighting in a space is. You can have the most fantastically designed room in front of your eyes but if there's not adequate lighting then it's in vain.

Here's to a well lit Wednesday lovers

Get ready to get your green on! Pantone's color of the year was just released and it's time to get acquainted with it. This gorgeous green is going to be a delightful one for me to play with this year. As always, color is a life changer, embrace it!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Happy Thanksgiving from my home to yours

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! My list this year runs entirely too deep to cover it completely but among the most special things I'm grateful for are first and foremost my Savior Jesus Christ's blessings and favor on my life, my husband and precious little furchild, incredible parents and siblings, great health, blossoming career, and last but absolutely not least my residency in the magical land of Hawaii. Contentment and gratefulness is on my heart and I couldn't be more thankful for the endless blessings in my life at the moment.
I would like to express my greatest THANK YOU to everyone who has read or is reading this blog! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for checking in with MALLIE+POSH. I've had so many readers touch my heart this year,  you certainly are a part of the many things I am thankful for today! I hope your day is special and bright. Sending sunshine and love-

THANKSGIVING PLACE CARDS

When it comes to Thanksgiving, I always fall for the natural organic decor. Using natural elements only adds to the character of the holiday. For me, living in one of the most beautiful places on earth makes me constantly grateful for the incredible creation I'm surrounded by. I'm always down for brining the outdoors in and these chic little place card holders are the perfect example of that. Try getting outdoors in your own yard to find some beauties for your table! Happy hunting...

FAUX FUR THROW

In gearing up for Thanksgiving next week I'm thinking of cozy things. Thinking of things that are the essence of winter and my number one winter jam for the home is a fur throw...faux of course. A faux fur throw is the most divine piece of snuggling equipment and it exudes enough posh flair to almost fill up an entire room. Grab one and get cuddled up just right with a good read...promise you'll be thanking me!

FASHION MEETS HOME

 kelly wearstler skirt

rag & bone pants

interpretation.

The general public mis-understands fashion just as much as they mis-understand interior design. Both are representations of individuality and fashion speaks for itself just like design does. Each one holds strong value in it's expression of who we are and how we view the world. In many ways, fashion and the industry of interior design are so close in their make up; both display patterns, colors, textures, fabrics, accessories, strong attention to details, scale, form, harmony, balance, shape and more. The largest similarity, for the two worlds, are that they encompass style, and style is so much more than simply being "in style". It's awareness of image and acknowledging the impression it has on yourself and other people, and more importantly, it's the portrayal of your creativity.

White upholstery  4. White marble fireplace  5. Acrylic coffee table  6. Jute rug  7. A whole lot of color love

HAUTE HALLOWEEN

Only orange could do today. How fab is this velvet bench seat sofa? I've always been an enormous fan of contrast piping on upholstery and this piece oozes extra style with that red piping. Happy Halloween from us to you! Hope it's sweet

BLUE CRUSH

when a tray successfully captures a midcentury modern mood- you know it's radical.

groovy glassware with bold bones- yes please, I'll have a glass of that.

spectacular blue niches filled with sea fans- killer.

Blue isn't just a color, it's a mood, and that's why I love it so much.

MONDAY AND I'M THINKING OF

Monday morning and I've got a fantastic little console on my mind. With it's sexy chrome legs and rustic pine plank top it's a divine duo that I can't get off my brain. The exceptional mixture of elements is what makes this piece so great. Even down to the detail of how the legs inlay into the top to make a sharp and purposeful T for added interest & architectural element is just perfect. Functionality meets form in a beautiful way. Consoles are a favorite of mine due to their versatility and this little beauty is no exception.

CLEARLY IN LOVE

Clearly by now you know nearly anything is possible with lucite. From my 'clearly in love' posts you also know that it's a look I cannot help but adore. Incorporating an acrylic or lucite piece is one of the easiest way to asthetically ease a room. With it's weightless look it will keep the focus on the right elements in a room instead of adding confusion for the eye. These two lucite desks above are among my very favorite desks at the moment, clear or otherwise!

GROOVY GOLD

Unknown

Carrying on with the dramatic theme this month, the next natural topic is metallics. Today, we're sticking to gold. These three suspended beauties are the essence of  a bold statement. If you're looking for some glamour and drama in a room gold is a sure fire way to capture it. More great gold finds coming up next week on the blog. For now, have a terrific Tuesday loves!

THE WINGBACK MAKES A COMEBACK

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the latest and greatest wingback chair(s). Out with the old and in with the new, the traditional wingback chair has been reincarnated. The 18th century design has come back as a over-scale, whimsical beauty that designers and clients alike cannot get enough of! With the introduction of the updated look the comfort level has risen exceptionally. These new styles boast fuller and deeper seating along with sky high backs for more ease and support. Overall it is suffice to say, the wingback is back and better than ever!
