There's only one thing left to do after viewing this house, look again and direct your attention to it's details. A divine abode gleaming of luxury and coastal inspired design, this high style Hamptons home offers sophistication by the sea. By blending sand and water hues throughout this home, the calming vibe of the outdoors was successfully brought inside. The November issue of Elle Decor landed on my kitchen island and I began to scroll through as I always do, until THIS Manhattan apartment was before my eyes. And there I sat in pure delight dumbfounded at how this gloriously designed space spilled out of my head into reality without me being present. It's quite the mystery, actually. :) Just about the only thing I would change about this space before moving in would be switching out the artwork with mine and my husband's pieces. Claiborne Sawnson Frank [new bride] recruited her mother-in-law for the job of putting her and her husband's first home together. It's looking like that was a fabulous decision! The patterns and colors throughout this home are dead on with my taste. The living room [first photo] is elegant but not overdone, sophisticated but not stuffy. I love glamour but not when it's not inviting or comfortable. Yes, a space should be oh-so posh but it also must be extremely livable. Here this NYC apartment encompasses just that vibe. Couldn't help but share these fabulous shots [via Elle Decor] from Hollywood's sweetheart and blue eyed beauty, Meg Ryan's coastal abode. Her more serious side was definitely relayed in her Martha's Vineyard beach home. The palette is soft and cozy with mostly neutrals and industrial touches throughout. Such a soothing setting and the home compliments it so wonderfully. Interesting fact about Ryan is she has been renovating homes for years and years. It's one of her absolute loves, she stated in the same article by ED, "I’ve renovated apartments, lofts, a log cabin in Montana—just tons and tons of places. I’m constantly ripping pages out of magazines in search of inspiration. I’ve found ideas everywhere, from a friend’s kitchen to a hotel lobby.” Never would've guessed in her down time she was a reno queen... you learn something new everyday! Nice to know even Meg Ryan sits around thinking about a heart-stopping light fixture or perfect to the touch linen fabric. ;)
