These copper gourds are getting me in the Thanksgiving decor spirit. I'm excited to share other things inspiring me this week. Check into the blog everyday for a dose of fall decor ideas in getting ready for the big day, xo!
In gearing up for Thanksgiving next week I'm thinking of cozy things. Thinking of things that are the essence of winter and my number one winter jam for the home is a fur throw...faux of course. A faux fur throw is the most divine piece of snuggling equipment and it exudes enough posh flair to almost fill up an entire room. Grab one and get cuddled up just right with a good read...promise you'll be thanking me!
The general public mis-understands fashion just as much as they mis-understand interior design. Both are representations of individuality and fashion speaks for itself just like design does. Each one holds strong value in it's expression of who we are and how we view the world. In many ways, fashion and the industry of interior design are so close in their make up; both display patterns, colors, textures, fabrics, accessories, strong attention to details, scale, form, harmony, balance, shape and more. The largest similarity, for the two worlds, are that they encompass style, and style is so much more than simply being "in style". It's awareness of image and acknowledging the impression it has on yourself and other people, and more importantly, it's the portrayal of your creativity.
I felt this room deserved a brief breakdown of the beauty it captures. The following make up this room's posh flair: 1. Color coded book shelves [marvelous!]2. Soft blue ceilings 3. White upholstery 4. White marble fireplace 5. Acrylic coffee table 6. Jute rug 7. A whole lot of color love
