The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
William and Kate woke up this morning as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.. how's that for a wedding present?! The newlyweds were seen strolling the Palace lawn hand in hand thanking staff before they were whisked away by helicopter. And while she may be royalty now, the Duchess made a very down-to-earth footwear decision: She donned the same wedges Saturday morning as she did for her wedding rehearsal just a few days before. As for their top secret honeymoon?? As stated in a press released from the Palace, "The Duke and Duchess have chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately. Instead, after spending a weekend privately in the United Kingdom, The Duke will return to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week. The locations of both their private weekend and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance." ...Good call!
The bride's evening look was certainly fit for a princess and carried along the magical theme. Kate slipped into a surprising strapless evening dress also by McQueen's creative director Sarah Burton [designer of the wedding dress]. The dress made of white satin gazar with a circle skirt and diamante embroidery detailing around the waist was stunning. The gown was topped off with a cropped angora sweater to keep the chill of Kate in the breezy 60 degree weather. This evening dress fit perfectly on Kate's gorgeous body and allowed mobility for some much deserved dancing with her new Prince.
Well, it was all in all a regal and absolutely magnificent affair. Hope everyone enjoyed the Royal Wedding as much as I did! Overjoyed for the new Royal couple and look forward to watching them become an even more fabulous pair for years to come. Fairytales do come true.... Ask Kate Middleton :)
happy Saturday lovely readers!
