Nothing like a gorgeously pieced together table, and nothing says posh like paying attention to details. This backyard dining arrangement has been set with all the goods for a quaint dinner to be had, for sharing laughs and stories over a beautiful spread of aquas and greens. Dinner parties with our friends are something my husband and I enjoy too much to wait for the weekend to do but certainly weekends in Hawaii usually present the perfect excuse! Happy weekend loves!

Entertaining outdoors at it's finest lives here in Hawaii

Hawaii is the land of the outdoors. Any chance you get you stroll on out to enjoy the marvelous tropical climate. The incredibly comfortable year round weather makes for absolutely terrific outdoor living spaces. The ability to dine outdoors anytime, any month of the year and bug free is just about enough of heaven to keep me satisfied! To sit out and soak in the lush island foliage while taking in the salty ocean breeze for hours on end is sweet medicine for the soul. Hope today to inspire some thoughts on dining and living beautifully outdoors.. for anyone not on the islands spring is upon you so gear up for entertaining outside!

ROOM OF THE DAY: GEORGIA PORCH

Getting back to my roots today. Saw this in my Atlanta Homes & Lifestyle magazine and had to share. This gracious and spacious outdoor living area is stocked with southern style and all the goods for a wonderful evening outdoors. Fire up the grill and settle in for great food and great friends... this may make me miss my Georgia loves just a tad too much. I think I'll tell them they have to come to Hawaii instead, an evening outside in January in GA isn't quite like ours here on the islands. Who's down for a bbq on the beach?! Thankful for another weekend just around the corner..

Hawaii embraces the aloha way of life... happiness, relaxation, and most importantly, no worries. It's such a refreshing lifestyle and way of spending everyday. In the workplace or out on the town people are completely relaxed and slow paced. They are taking in the most beautiful moments Hawaii has to offer. It is so easy to fall in love with the island's outlook and attitude on life. Hawaii is the absolute perfect place for peacefulness. Adventure is always just a trail or wave away but the sand always welcomes you to just sit and stay awhile. Excitement or ease is up to you just live the aloha way...

OUTDOOR LIVING: SEASIDE GARDEN

Reminiscent of the ocean water, Hawaiian water especially, this precious garden boasts my absolute favorite blues and greens. Soothing yet, cheerful this little hideaway is rich in texture and color. Speaking of gardens.. the newest editions to my own garden are baby aloe plants that I just received from one of my best friends. Looking forward to nurturing them and my other plants well enough to get a photo up. The lanai is by far one of my favorite spots in our home, stay tuned for photos of it to come! ;)

Rustic charm is what this patio is infused with. Furnish large patio areas with heavier and substantial pieces (the large pedestals of the table ground this area). Keep runners and tablecloths from blowing in the breeze by using a lantern and candles for a centerpiece and at place settings; they double as perfect ambiance. By using small accents like the pillows and light coverings lots of color was successfully incorporated while still being easy to switch out, depending on occasion or mood. SUNDAY BRUNCH

Good morning to another lovely weekend day. Slip into my Sunday best and head to church with my handsome & precious husband then it's off to brunch at the Koa Malina Club. Although, if these were the double doors off my bedroom I might consider staying in all morning. Quaint and charming little porch complete with tea and crumpets. Absolutely adore the iron work details on the railing & the dainty iron table + chairs to match. Keeps the outdoors the focal point.

The mirroring arches, glorious... the wall to wall floor to ceiling white panels {that create a closed room in a second}, beautifully genius... the clean crisp color palette, adore... the hanging black lanterns, instant score. I'm quite head over heels for this quiet little glamorous hideaway. Do not underestimate white walls.

My favorite touches are the predominately white palette in the furnishings & on the walls + floor but the unexpected pop of color in the blue paint on the ceiling.
