Let's face it, two is always better than one. In this case we mean exquisitely dressed beds. These duo's boast balanced and bold design side by side. With it being the end of mine and my husband's one year anniversary month this post came to me and was inspired by the beautiful life I share him. Having him beside me makes me believe two is the best combo there ever was. Enjoy these absolutely precious decked out twin bed ensembles. I did.......
God has given Ryan and I such an amazing year together. I can't believe this first year and our anniversary month are gone! Hope I left you with some love like this month left me. ;) Goodbye October, Hello November!

Zoom Zoom
Ran across my copy of the Jimmy Choo spring/summer '10 Catalog and did a quick flip.
Love at first sight. I fell hard for this pair in less than 2 seconds the first time I saw them. It was especially an attachment after getting to incorporate them in a Fashion Spread I assisted on back in January last year in Hollywood, CA.

Did they put a spell on you too?

Today One Year Ago
To the man who is always there beside me, who inspires me, loves me beyond what I can believe, leads me, who encourages me, plays little kid and dances around like a crazy person with me, laughs with me, cries with me, sings with me, tells me he's proud of me, and strives everyday to make the most of our life together....Happy Anniversary to my amazing husband, Ryan. I cannot believe we have been on this 24/7 undeniably fun journey together for one whole year now. It seems as though yesterday we were picking our wedding date around the SEC football schedule and I was shopping for that ONE perfect dress to prance down the aisle toward him in.
October 25th 2009
I am absolutely grateful for this day.
A year later we have had so many incredibly awesome memories to look back on and I cannot wait for all this second year has to offer....bring it on! Bring on the love

Minimal Chic
While perusing the ED website I ran across this article/photos of Jim Gauer's Vancouver Island home. Breath of fresh air. Take a look.
Armchairs- IFC, Curtains- Kravet fabric, Lamps- Luceplan
Six years ago Jim left his midtown Manhattan apartment to move to Victoria, a small provincial capital on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.
"Today we live in a serene minimalist aerie that overlooks Victoria’s fabled Inner Harbour, where white clouds above the Strait of Juan de Fuca are sometimes indistinguishable from the snowy peaks of the Olympic Mountains in the distance, and the creamy sails of schooners are sometimes obscured by dense, pearly fog. The decor is simple and spare, with a color palette limited mostly to shades of white and pale gray, like the gulls that glide past our windows." Gauer
Marble countertop integrated with cerusedoak cabinets
Gauer designed the banquett which is covered in a Knoll fabric
Granite countertops, IKEA Island, Appliances are Kitchen Aid
Stools on the terrace are by Kartwell
The cabinets and lamps are IKEA, and the photographs by Gauer hang above the headboard he designed.
The Jens Risom chair by Knolls

Happy weekend to all!

For the love of Color
So I know I haven't been pulling my end of the deal here...have to say sorry for the absence of posting. I know it has been far too long and I promise I will be better! I have so much to share, I'll just have to find the time!
I woke up this morning thinking about color- lots of it. With winter approaching I am dreaming of doing some new dazzling colors in our master bedroom. The winter months can be so dreary and colorless once the leaves are gone, I want to keep everything bright inside our home. Freeze. Take a second and think about what life would be like without color.........No shades of green on the leaves, no more alluring blues/torquoise at the beach, no more golden sunsets, no yellow sunflowers, or purple orchids no gorgeous chesnut colored horses or sexy red sports cars. Imagine the WHOLE world in black and white. Weird, right? Pretty crazy to think about the importance of color in our lives and even more crazy is what exactly color is. "A visual attribute of things that results from the light they emit or transmit/reflect." (Wordweb.com) Moreover, the color we see etc. red, orange, gray, pink, are all of our eye's perception of a light that is reflected. God gives us so many things to enjoy because of color. Are you enjoying all that color has to offer? Well, with all that being said.. it was completely ironic to open the style section of the Washington Post this morning to find this:
Crazy! ...mind readers...
How awesome are these chiavari {cane} chairs!?
and these knobs.....
annnd these shoes
Just wanted to remind you of an incredibly amazing thing we enjoy everyday without thinking about it. Why not venture out and enjoy some new colors you're afraid of or you've never used before- in your home or in your wardrobe. Make a statement, make your presence know by a color that represents you. And if you've had a favorite color/colors your whole life I dare you to find a way to use it in a new way! I promise it will be worth the time spent. ;)
Love to all
